We are currently entering an exciting phase of growth and succession, which has in turn led to the expansion of the Wealth department. As part of this growth, we are looking for a Senior Financial Planner to join the team in Nottingham.
You will become the trusted adviser for a group of high net worth clients with complex financial needs, offering an exceptional level of service. This will be met through regular review meetings and proactive contact with clients, their families and the other professionals who advise them. You will be working with a team who will support you in providing this service.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide excellent client service whist ensuring the necessary compliance, record keeping, and technical requirements are complied with.
* Provide leadership, guidance and development to the Technical and Administration teams.
* To comply with the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000, the FCA’s Conduct rules, the FCA Statements of Principle & Code of Practice and the relevant Financial Conduct Authority rules at all times.
* Keep up to date with the issues concerning all relevant products, including legislative and technical changes.
* Ensure sufficient relevant CPD is maintained and recorded accurately, including the increased ethics and protection requirements.
* Provide ongoing technical and financial planning advice to your portfolio of clients as it is required.
* Ensure all dealings with clients are carried out in a professional, prompt, accurate and courteous manner.
* Assist with new client acquisition as required.
* If asked to do so, act as a member of the Investment & Risk Committee with responsibility for research, due diligence and follow up work.
* Employ best-practice fiduciary standards in overseeing the investment program.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
* Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning
* Level 6 Advanced Diploma in Financial planning or be working towards it
* Experience in a paraplanning or a technical role gained within a financial planning firm
* Experience working within a client-facing advisory role in a financial planning firm
* Experience using a full range of provider products, services, and capabilities, and have taken an active role in delivering them
* Experience in building and maintain excellent relationships both internally and externally
* Knowledge of key areas of financial planning and advice – including investment planning, pre/at retirements planning, personal and business protection, and estate planning
* Knowledge and understanding of FCA suitability requirements
* Be able to work under pressure to deadlines, ensuring accuracy and high levels of attention to detail, at all times.
* Actively seek to enhance own expertise and knowledge.
