Role Overview As part of the Highways and Parking team, you will work closely with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders and partners. You will be actively involved and trained in assisting the team with a diverse range of tasks, including: Processing Applications : Manage applications from utility providers (e.g., water, gas, electricity, broadband) for excavation or other works in the highway. Licensing Management : Handle applications from builders and construction companies for licences related to skips, scaffolding, hoarding, cranes, and more. Apparatus Inspections : Notify utility providers of defects with their apparatus on the highway. Compliance Monitoring : Process fixed penalty notices for non-compliance with street works regulations. Data Analysis : Analyse data and create visual reports, including graphs. Complex Applications : Process detailed applications, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations. Coordination : Cross-examine multiple applications and facilitate effective coordination among stakeholders. Why Join Us? To provide support to the Network Operation Team. Assist the Network Operation team to ensure the delivery of an efficient and effective highway licensing and enforcement process in relation to the highway legislation, such as the Highways Act 1980 and New Roads and Street Works Act 1991 etc. Qualifications and Requirements: Numeracy and literacy qualification e.g: GCSE English and Maths or equivalent. Relevant NVQ Level 2 or 3 qualification or similar. Graduates starting at Scale 6 subject to assessment of knowledge and experience.
