Norfolk & Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust (NSFT) are looking for a Gardener/Groundsman to join our existing multi-disciplinary professional maintenance team in providing a safe environment for all service users, staff and visitors across our Suffolk sites being based at The Hollies, 155 Ribbans Park Rd, Ipswich. The successful candidate would be flexible, enthusiastic, self-motivated and confident in being part of a team that provides a comprehensive maintenance service in a unique and varied environment. The Gardener/Groundsman will provide a comprehensive programme of garden maintenance and groundworks for various sites across the service on instruction from the Maintenance Services Works Officer. They will be expected to carry out planned and routine ground works using a variety of plant and equipment. The work relates to both domestic and specialist commercial aspects of grounds & gardens maintenance.Main duties of the job The Gardening Services provides a high quality service to the grounds and gardens of the Trusts' portfolio of properties to provide a safe and pleasant external environment. The Gardeners/Grounds person provide maintenance to the grounds and gardens as well as the upkeep of the mowed lawns, general grassed areas and low maintenance borders, ornamental flowering borders, trees. Undertaking general horticultural duties such as seasonal planting. The work relates to various types of seasonal work including road sweeping and litter/debris collection as well as snow clearing and gritting of the footpaths and roads.
