Job Advert: Mobile Electrician Location: Field-based (covering multiple sites) Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent About the Role: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Mobile Electrician to join a growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, servicing, and repairing electrical and mechanical equipment, including pumps and diesel engines, at various locations, including company branches and customer sites. You will ensure all work is carried out safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards, while adhering to all relevant regulations and company policies. The company are global supplier specialising in the design and manufacture of bespoke equipment and machinery into multiple sectors, recently expanding across Europe and are part of a large group. This is a field-based role, and you will be required to travel to different sites as needed. You will also participate in an on-call rota to provide support outside of standard working hours. Key Responsibilities: Install, test, maintain, service, and repair electrical/mechanical pump sets, plant, and site equipment within the hire fleet and customer units. Ensure all work complies with the National Working Rules for the Electrical Contracting Industry, I.E.E. Wiring Regulations, and Construction Industry Safety Regulations. Develop and follow Electrical Risk Assessment/Method Statements, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up to date. Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and wiring diagrams to diagnose faults and complete wiring modifications. Produce detailed reports and estimates for repairs, ensuring timely and accurate completion. Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment to a high standard, ensuring a safe and clean working environment. Salary Package: Competitive Annual Salary £40,000-£47,477 Company Van (Work use) Enhanced overtime pay (for additional hours and call outs) 25 days holiday 8 bank holidays Pension Scheme Qualifications and Experience: JIB Qualified Electrician and to be able to meet the requirements to obtain an ECS Gold card, Preferred - 18th edition is essential NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations preferred IEE Wiring Regulations 18th Edition (BS(Apply online only) (2011)) or current edition (desirable but not essential). Proven experience as an electrician in an industrial or commercial environment, preferably within construction or utilities. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, circuits, and components. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics. Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment. Full UK driving licence (no more than 6 points).
