Airswift is currently recruiting for a Contract Specialist to be based in one of there clients UK offices on a hybrid basis. Manages the pre- and post award procurement and contracts management life cycle associated with engineering activities and construction works on large and complex industrial Projects. Extensive experience of managing pre-contract processes (including pre-qualification, preparation of Invitations To Tender, selection and award of contracts); Extensive experience of managing all post-award processes (general contract administration, change control, claims avoidance and management, final accounting, dispute resolution, etc); • Contributes to and advises on setting procurement strategy for engineering and construction works • Prepares and negotiates Non-Disclosure/Confidentiality Agreements • Compiles Expression of Interest Documents • Prepares Market Analysis of the returns • Prequalifies Contractors and ensures due diligence activities are properly undertaken; • Compiles Request for Information/ Request for Proposal (RFP) and or Tender evaluation plans; • Initiates and chairs the RFP/ITT Kick-off meeting; • Compiles the Individual Contract Plan for an RFP/ITT; • Expedites input to an RFP/ITT package and compiles the physical package for review and issue; • Performs prequalification exercises to select bidders for RFP/ITT from the Project Bidders List and issues the bidders' list for review and approval; • Administers contracting strategy papers; • Initiates and chairs RFP RFP/ITT explanation/clarification meetings/registers and writes and issues consequent minutes; • Receives and handles all queries from bidders including co-ordination of discipline response to queries. Indicates distribution of correspondence; • Co-ordinates visits by Bidders to the Project worksite (as appropriate); • Facilitates the overall RFP/ITT evaluation process including Technical Experience in the industrial engineering (e.g. mid-stream/upstream oil & gas, chemical, process plant, etc) industry; Excellent understanding of contractual risk and contract law; Extensive experience of published standard forms of engineering and construction contracts (e.g. FIDIC, IChemE, LOGIC, NEC, etc) standard and bespoke forms of contract; Involvement in Contract Work Practices; Sound knowledge of relevant statutes, and interpretation of commercial contracts; Understanding of construction methods, processes and concepts and the application of such knowledge; Basic ability to interpret relevant national industry codes and standards and of technical documents; Strong working knowledge of the fundamental requirements of the discipline, and the basic requirements of other disciplines.
