Key Responsibilities
7. Allocate work to our depot-based maintenance team, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standards.
8. Manage daily staffing levels, including holiday schedules, absence management, and overtime coordination.
9. Oversee stock management to ensure optimal inventory levels for servicing and repairs.
10. Coordinate servicing and maintenance activities for trailers, cranes, and other equipment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
11. Take a 'hands-on' approach, diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues on a variety of equipment, including mobile cranes, tower cranes, crawler cranes, HGVs, and light commercial vehicles.
12. Prioritise work orders effectively, demonstrating strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
13. Uphold our commitment to health and safety policies and procedures, maintaining a controlled environment for all maintenance activities.
14. Maintain accurate documentation, ensuring all records are up-to-date and compliant with regulatory requirements.
Person Specification
Education/Knowledge/Experience
15. Time served technician with a recognised industry qualification (City & Guilds/NVQ).
16. Supervisory experience in a maintenance environment.
17. Knowledge of mobile cranes, plant machinery, and heavy vehicles.
18. Experience in work allocation and stock management.
Skills/Abilities
19. Proficient in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults on various equipment.
20. Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
21. Basic computer skills for documentation and record-keeping purposes.
