What would you do as our Quantity Surveyor: We are looking for someone who would manage all contractual and commercial aspects of allocated projects, and will help us maximise revenue and profit for each contract. You would also: Support the tendering and negotiation process through commercial experience, contractual understanding and risk management strategy Evaluate proposed customer contract terms to determine risk and opportunity, and support the negotiation process to achieve favourable change to terms where possible Generate, control and monitor project budgets in conjunction with the Contracts Manager Identify, evaluate and agree additional charges for work required or undertaken that are outside the prescribed and agreed scope of works or contracted terms to maximise sales revenue and profitability Prepare and submit interim payment applications for completed works in a timely and professional manner in accordance with the contractual obligations of each project. This position also entails tracking changes to the design and/or construction work, mitigating risk of revenue or profit as well as creating, preparing and submitting contractual documents and continually monitoring budgets. The skills and experience you need: We are looking for someone who has: Qualified Quantity Surveyor Minimum 5 years’ experience as a qualified Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry preferably working as a sub-contractors QS Experience in using online project management packages such as Viewpoint, Bravo, Conject etc. Post contract cost control experience Experience with tendering an advantage Ideally you would also have experience with ERP software packages, a background in project management and/or a degree in analytics, computer science or similar.
