If so, this may be the job for you As part of the council s road safety program, you will operate in line with national guidelines, enabling children, parents and other pedestrians to safely cross busy roads at designated times during the school run periods. There are over 60 School Crossing Patrol (SCP) locations in the borough all with a priority rating. You may be asked to provide cover at a higher priority crossing in your ward or close by. School crossing patrol staff are dedicated individuals who are committed to providing road safety no matter what the weather conditions are. As a lone worker you will be an effective communicator, ensuring all significant information and incidents are accurately captured and reported through line management in a timely manner. You will have a flexible and positive approach to short notice changes to support priority crossings, and you will give your best every day, maintaining an enthusiastic outlook and drive to deliver an outstanding service. The Operational team are here for your wellbeing They organise training, aspects of H&S, deliver staff engagement sessions, support attendance, listen to your needs and provide advice and guidance where needed if we don t know we ll find out.
