Role: Group Head of Payments
Location: Wolverhampton or Kent – Hybrid, ideally 3 days in the office
Salary: £75,000 - £85,000 + up to 25% Bonus + 30 days holiday + private medical + more!

What You’ll Be Doing
As Group Head of Payments, you’ll ensure the business continues to deliver a resilient, efficient, and future-ready payments service for its savings and lending customers, as well as key third-party partners.
This is an opportunity to take full ownership of payments strategy, working closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to drive operational excellence and industry-leading service.
* Led Payment Services Strategy & Operations, ensuring efficiency, resilience, and regulatory compliance.
* Managed third-party suppliers, overseeing contract negotiations, renewals, and performance monitoring.
* Represented payments functions within large-scale transformation programs, ensuring seamless integration with modernisation initiatives.
* Identified risks and implemented robust controls within payments infrastructure.
* Created a culture of continuous improvement, enhancing payment processes, reducing costs, and driving operational efficiency.
* Led and motivated high-performing teams, ensuring development, training, and strategic alignment.

* Leading a payment services function within Financial Services.
* Managing multi-site operations, overseeing vendor relationships, and driving business transformation.
* Delivering a Payment Services Strategy, aligning with regulatory standards and market trends.
* Owning supplier contracts, collaborating with vendor management teams on tenders, renewals, and oversight.
* Identifying payment risks and implementing strong controls to ensure business continuity and resilience.
