Working hours Working Mon- Fri 8.30-4.30pm Flexibility is required to work outside these core hours as the home is open 24/7

About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and ambitious manager to join our experienced team. The home is established within the local community and has excellent relationships within the area. As the registered manager you will hold responsibility for the provision of a quality children’s home service which includes management oversight for work with children, young people and families in care and leaving care providing ‘staying close’ support.
The role proactively provides support and supervision to a team dedicated to delivering care and support interventions to complex children, young people and their families. The role has involvement in the quality assurance of services, developing and monitoring systems and delivery and managing significant resources including deployment of workers across the service to provide a 24-hour service.
We are looking for a manager who wants to make a difference by providing a stable loving caring home in which young people can grow and have many positive experiences they can take through to adulthood.
We’re looking for someone who will instill a culture of continuous improvement.
About you
You will have significant experience of working in a residential childcare setting, and you will have previous management experience. You will have a commitment to delivering high quality care according to Children’s Homes Regulations. You will also have a good understanding of the things that matter most to children’s lives.
Your style and approach will reflect our values and behaviours: you will be committed to continually learning & improving the way you do things to ensure effective outcomes; valuing and respecting others’ contribution, you will work together to deliver service; you will take ownership of your actions and strive to getting things right. You will need to have a working knowledge of residential work and experience of operating within the framework of safeguarding and child protection and Children’s homes regulations.
You’ll also be able to demonstrate experience in managing and developing staff, alongside leadership abilities and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You should also have a minimum of 1 years’ management experience within children’s residential services and hold a final level Social Work professional or occupational qualification i.e., CQSW, CSS, DipSW or Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care.

Additional Information
To complete an application to Ofsted and be successful in the registration process to be the Registered Manager of the home. This is a condition of continued employment.
Enhanced DBS clearance
Car User with transport you will be required to drive in this role.
Ability to provide management support outside of core working hours ability to work flexibly and provide cover dependent upon service needs.
