Hinkley Point C (HPC) is a landmark nuclear power station project in the UK, consisting of two new reactors. As a Welding Superintendent, you will be part of this innovative initiative, providing low-carbon electricity for around six million homes. Your key responsibilities will include ensuring the highest standards of welding quality and adherence to safety protocols. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a ground-breaking project that will have a significant impact on the country's energy landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervise and coordinate welding activities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
* Develop and implement effective welding procedures and quality control measures.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals and objectives.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as engineering or materials science.
* Proven experience in welding supervision or management, preferably in a nuclear or heavy industry setting.
* Strong knowledge of welding processes, materials, and equipment.
* Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Working Conditions:
The role will be based at Hinkley Point C site, Somerset. The working hours will be standard full-time, and the long-term contract will provide stability and security. The salary for this position is £61,000 per annum, paid via UMBRELLA.
