If this resonates with you, our exciting opportunity for a Health and Safety Manager in the Melton Mowbray area could be a perfect fit. The role will look after one of the organisation's heavy manufacturing and construction sites in the area. This position will require an experienced health and safety professional who can lead by example and hit the ground running.
The organisation has an extensive track record of successful operation in the UK, and this is an excellent opportunity to join the health and safety team.
Responsibilities of the Health and Safety Manager will include:
1. Being a presence on site, assessing health and safety performance and implementing an effective audit plan
2. Leading the wider health and safety team to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
3. Investigating accidents and incidents, identifying the root cause, and carrying out toolbox talks and training where required
The successful Health and Safety Manager will have:
1. Proven experience in a similar role ideally within heavy manufacturing or wider construction
2. NEBOSH Certificate (or equivalent)
3. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
4. A strong technical knowledge across relevant health and safety legislation, compliance, and regulations
