Job Title: WTG Engineer
Location: Glasgow or London
Salary: from £46,000, up to 10% bonus and health cover

The WTG T&I engineer will be part of the WTG T&I sub-package on East Anglia Three (EA3), which is responsible for managing the Charter Party Agreement and the transport and installation aspects of the TSA throughout the execution phase of the project.
The WTG T&I engineer will support the WTG T&I sub-package with the engineering, interfaces, and management of the OEM and installation vessels.
This role will specialize in the WTG Installation Vessels aspects of the WTG T&I Sub-Package.
What you’ll be doing:
Key tasks of the T&I Engineer are as follows:
1. Review of the OEM and Vessel Operator’s engineering and procedures including lift engineering, grillages and seafastenings, motions analysis, pre-assembly port layout, SSAs, LPAs, installation, lift plans, ghost positions, etc.
2. Management of T&I Contractor’s engineering deliverables and offshore works.
3. Interface management: reviewing the OEM and Vessel Operators contractual requirements, engineering, and procedures to identify scope gaps and interface items to ensure the safe and efficient installation campaign.
4. Assist the WTG T&I Sub-Package in the implementation of the package engineering plan and management of any internal and external services or resources that are required to deliver the tasks identified within the engineering plan.
5. Coordination of information sharing and document review process between the package management team, the Contractor, any Related Works Contractors, the Marine Warranty Surveyor, the Independent Verification Society, and the Site Management teams.
6. Responsible to complete or organize, as applicable, the administrative tasks needed by the company and project(s) of assignment, related to the planning and execution of installation works.
7. Managing the vessel marine assurance process, including vessel entry procedure.
8. Leading readiness reviews.
9. Provision of technical assistance to the consenting team to assist them in discharging the project's consent conditions.
Execution:
1. Attendance at pre-assembly port and any mobilisation sites to oversee the mobilisation of the installation vessels and ensure the vessels, equipment, engineering, and procedures are correctly adhered to.
2. Occasional attendance offshore to oversee the WTG loadout, transport, and installation is executed in accordance with procedures, engineering, safely, and in accordance with best industry practice. This may include undertaking the duties of package engineering representatives.
3. Review, approval, and management of change of the Contractor's procedures and engineering studies and analysis.
4. Assist the WTG T&I Sub-Package in managing the Marine Warranty Surveyor approval process.
5. Review and approval of the as-installed records.
6. Review of daily progress reports to ensure accuracy, compliance and assess performance including management of vessel optional periods.
7. Day-to-day management and interface with the client representatives onboard the vessels.
In addition to the core responsibilities and accountabilities, the Installation Engineer may be delegated additional responsibilities for health and safety management, budgeting, planning, procurement, development of departmental procedures, and reporting.
What you’ll bring:
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in offshore T&I (preferably within offshore wind).
* Demonstrable experience with Jack Up specific engineering (including Site Specific Assessments and Leg Penetration Assessments).
* Experience with grillage and seafastening design.
* Experience in vessel mobilisation activities.
* Experience in offshore transport and installation.
* Experience with heavy lift works (preferably within WTG).
