Job Description
Key Roles/Responsibilities:
1. Lead the management, operation and performance of the Project Management team to ensure it meets targets of successful customer project delivery.
2. Implement change to existing processes and ways of working within the department. Update relevant SOP's and lead new initiatives for improving systems and overall project delivery approach.
3. Establish a standardized platform for project management processes, where knowledge and captured learnings can be shared effectively with project management team.
4. Develop tools for measuring project performance and project risk metrics.
5. Responsible for the strategy and delivery of the customer projects on site.
6. Provides support, coaching and development to the PM team.
7. Line management and objective setting for site project managers.
8. Responsible for the allocation of projects to the PM team.
9. Together with BD and site client facing team will respond to client queries for new business, preparation of change orders and addenda to existing work programmes.
10. Ensures that all won business has a project kick-off meeting where all information relevant to the program is shared with the project team and a schedule with individual accountabilities is agreed and committed to.
11. Effectively plans and manages all stages of the overall work programme on client projects. The life cycle of a project may include process and analytical development, non-GMP and GMP manufacture, disposition of Bulk Drug Substance as well as supporting studies for stability programmes.
12. Manages sites interaction with global colleagues on integrated projects where client programmes are delivered over multiple international sites.
13. Responsible for key aspects of client communication relating to quality, budget and delivery. Has overall responsibility for customer satisfaction and management of expectations. Will ensure that all issues are communicated to the customer in an open, transparent manner with potential solutions provided.
14. Acts as the voice of the customer within Piramal to prevent conflicts of interest developing. Ensures that all "out of scope" activity is identified ASAP and that agreement is reached whether the scope will be absorbed by the site or negotiated with the client for financial recompense.
15. Works with Project teams to ensure all invoices relating to project delivery are executed on time in line with financial forecasting.
16. All other tasks as reasonably required.

Qualifications
Essential Qualifications:
1. Preferably a BSc (Hons) or equivalent qualification would be required.
2. Preferably a recognized formal project management qualification (PMP/PMQ/Prince2/P30) or equivalent would be required.
Essential Experience:
1. Min. 5 years project management experience.
2. Strong technical background in a scientific discipline.
3. Good understanding of cGMP, project management and commercial acumen.
4. Excellent communication skills to deal effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
5. Ability to deal with a broad project team at different organization levels.
6. Ability to prioritise activities across a number of different projects.
7. Self-motivated with enthusiasm and passion to drive opportunities and projects through to fruition.
