Supervisor Congleton, Cheshire East Highways Full Time Ringway Jacobs has an exciting opportunity for a Supervisor to join the maintenance team in Cheshire East. Reporting to the Area Manager, the successful candidate will deliver an end-to-end highways revenue and capital works to include reactive, emergency and planned work. The purpose of the role is to ensure operatives and supply chain partners are put to and carry out work safely. Supervising activities so that all operational elements are delivered in accordance with the relevant standards, strategies and policies of the service. Key Responsibilities Supervise self-delivery and SCP gangs to ensure safe, high-quality work. Ensure programmes meet key milestones. Monitor work to align with Ringway Jacobs' specifications and procedures. Manage priorities and workload using agile/mobile working. Communicate daily with the maintenance support team. Deliver daily briefings to operatives and supply chain partners. Monitor and improve gang performance and productivity. Conduct walk, talk, and build assessments to identify risks and ensure safe, efficient delivery. Understand and enhance output and performance targets. Ensure accurate work recording via handheld devices. Deliver Toolbox Talks and maintain records on health and safety policies. Conduct site inductions. Role Requirements Good knowledge and application of design procedures, guidance and standards and good practice documents. Good knowledge of Construction, Design and Management regulations and application of Health and Safety legislation. Good Knowledge of and application of Highway Legislation. NRSWA – Supervisor (New Road and Street Works Act) Qualification. SSSTS (Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme). First Aid Certification. IT skills to include MS Office, MS Project, Confirm or similar. About You Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and codes of practice. Excellent interpersonal skills for teamwork and collaboration. Ability to build and maintain key internal and external relationships. Lead and coordinate regular meetings to update forward programmes. Strong communication, writing, and analytical skills. Confident in advising on programming matters at all levels.
