The Technical Compliance Officer (Electrical Bias) will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of compliance and safety across the Council’s managed estate and that of its clients served under service level agreement. This role is not just about compliance; it’s about enhancing the quality of our services and contributing to the well-being of our community. You’ll have the opportunity to review service report documentation, address the findings within those reports, and ensure that compliance for your designated areas is consistently maintained across the estate. Your expertise will be crucial in making informed decisions on recommendations, balancing the nature of identified issues with the available budget, and ultimately ensuring a safer environment for everyone. This position offers a unique blend of technical challenges and the chance to make a tangible impact on the community we serve. You should possess a degree or HNC in electrical engineering or an equivalent qualification, or have demonstrable experience at the required level. A thorough understanding of compliance regulations and standards is essential. You must also have working knowledge of building services systems, including electrical, mechanical services, HVAC installation and operation, as well as an understanding of Health & Safety protocols, and a solid grasp of the IET’s Electrical Wiring Regulations BS7671.
