This role would suit someone who has experience dealing with challenging behavior's and situations. You will need to be resilient, confidents and hard working to thrive in this position.
Your Responsibilities:
As a Homeless Support Worker, you will play a vital role in helping homeless individuals regain stability and improve their quality of life. Your responsibilities will include:
· Supporting people experiencing homelessness.
· Maintain safety within the facility, handle incidents, and contact external services when needed.
· Monitoring security through CCTV, ensuring a safe environment for young residents.
· Performing safety checks and welfare checks through the night.
· Ad hoc administrative tasks when required.
· Provide basic First Aid assistance until help arrives- Full training provided.
· Supporting young clients in managing their homes and lives effectively, covering aspects such as benefits, budgeting, and neighbor relations.
· Develop practical life skills tailored to the unique needs of young people, including budgeting, shopping, cooking, housework, laundry, health, and hygiene.
Desirable Requirements:
· Previous experience in homeless support, social work, or a related field is a plus.
· Compassion and empathy for homeless individuals.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Basic computer skills for record-keeping.
· Valid online DBS for Adults and Children.
· Valid UK Driver’s License.
