Workplace Arrangement:
We are currently recruiting for a Full time, permanent Blending Operative to join our team at our Gainsborough site in Lincolnshire, working Monday to Friday covering Days / Afternoons / Nights on a rota basis for a 37.5 hour week.
Reporting to the Team Leader, your role is to continually develop your Production area to support the delivery of the site plan. You will be responsible for working as part of a team on rotational shifts on varying production lines, ensuring your designated area delivers against its KPI’s. The successful candidate will deliver a team attitude and consistent use of processes, systems & procedures to ensure production plans are optimized and non-value-added activities are eliminated. You will set high standards and lead by example, providing flexibility for the site as business needs change.
If you have previous experience as a Productive Operative, Line Operative, Factory Operative, or similar roles, this may be the role for you!
Where will you work?
Our Gainsborough site consists of 5 integrated plants with around 110 employees, where we produce a variety of products, such as flours, batters, and ingredients for meat-free food. Its history dates back to 1963 when the first Flour Milling Plant was established. It became part of the Kerry Family in 1997 and has undergone significant investments and improvements.
The Gainsborough site is located close to Gainsborough Lea Road train station (13 minutes by walk) and has onsite parking and a canteen.
What will you do?
* Ownership of a Production area
* Delivery of the production plan through teamwork on shifts
* Adherence to Food Manufacturing Safety & Quality Standards
* Support the implementation of Lean Manufacturing Techniques
* Responsible for equipment efficiencies, waste, and materials
* Creating a factory environment where individuals feel able to continually challenge the status quo, embrace change, and make decisions to improve performance
What do you need to be successful?
* Proven experience within a manufacturing/engineering environment, ideally within FMCG
* Experience of automated process lines
* Experience of working with large teams and under your own initiative
* Good understanding & interpretation of data
* Food manufacturing experience
* General education in Maths & adequate communication in spoken English
* Microsoft Office: Basic IT skills covering Excel, Word, Outlook (Required)
* Food safety certificate (desirable)
* Health & Safety qualification (desirable)
* Previous S.A.P knowledge (desirable)
* Fork Lift Truck Licence
