Systems Accountant - Power BI (1 year FTC)
Here at innocent, we’re on a mission to make it easier for everyone to get more fruit and veg into their bodies. We started back in 1999 and since then we’ve gone from selling a few smoothies at a music festival to becoming one of Europe’s biggest drinks companies with around 1,000 people (and the B Corp seal of approval).
It’s nice to be able to say things like that but we’re not patting ourselves on the back just yet. We want to show everyone that it’s possible to be a successful business while looking after people and the planet too, so we’re trying to get better in pretty much every way. And that’s where this job comes in.
What you'll be doing:
Innocent is growing up and maturing from a big little company to a little big company. With greater size comes greater responsibility. It is an exciting time of change with having gone live with our first factory and new ERP systems in the past few years.
In this role you’ll be reporting into the Reporting and Compliance Lead, and will be responsible for:
* Maintaining our Finance system structures, workflows, user groups and our BI reporting model.
* Working with our tax team to setup and maintain VAT rules and routes in our systems.
* Being a key partner to our Technology team on upgrades, rollouts and testing.
* Ensuring we are compliant and unlocking the system to help us on our journey.
* Working with finance and technology teams to create required reports and hand over to BAU.
* Supporting our Customer to Cash team on EDI issues and changes.
* Owning master data compliance controls.
* Improving systemisation of controls with our Compliance team.
* Ad hoc requests to investigate issues and solve bugs with existing reports and within our finance system.
* Working closely with our third-party IT service provider (Genpact).
You'll have:
* Knowledge and experience of working with Power BI.
* A solid understanding of what good looks like when it comes to Finance system structures.
* An understanding of financial reporting and compliance.
* A great communicator who can understand and convey change across teams, taking technical accounting requests and explaining it in layman’s terms when collaborating with the IT team.
* A structured approach to workload, able to tackle multiple streams of work and improvements in a sensible and timely way.
* Hands-on with tools and systems to understand how to simplify processes, integrate compliance, and ease reporting.
* Proactive and able to take initiative to pre-empt problems and think of solutions.
You'll get:
* Be a key part in evolving and maintaining innocent’s finance systems.
* An exciting chance to work in collaboration with various teams in the business and deliver meaningful improvements.
* Be part of the journey of a company that continues to grow in size and ambition.
We want innocent to be a great place to work, so we do lots of stuff to make people feel at home and ensure everyone’s career is shaping up the way they want it to. There are plenty of opportunities to have a go at something new or take things further.
In exchange for helping us do business in the right way, you’ll get a solid rewards package that includes a salary, private healthcare, a target-based bonus, and a bunch of other nice things like a day off on your birthday. And yes, you get free smoothies.
We also know that not all our drinkers come from the same background or think the same – so why should we? At innocent, we want to be a great place to work where a diverse bunch of people from all backgrounds can turn up and thrive. When we hire, we want all the juice, bits, and pulp that make you who you are.
Even if you don’t think you can tick all the boxes, if the job sounds right for you, come and throw your hat in the ring.
Probably best to get your skates on though, as we might close this early if we get loads of applications.
