We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Semi-Senior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in managing financial operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing strategic financial insights. This position requires a strong understanding of financial management and accounting software, as well as the ability to mentor junior staff. Duties Oversee the preparation of financial statements and reports in accordance with regulatory requirements. Manage accounts payable processes, ensuring timely payments and accurate record-keeping. Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making and identify areas for improvement. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial forecasting and budgeting. Mentor and train junior accountants, fostering their professional development within the organisation. Utilise accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, or PeopleSoft for efficient financial management. Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies while maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations. Skills MUST have practice experience at some point. Working towards the latter stages of ACA/ACCA studies or completed Experience in accountancy work. Proficient in financial accounting principles and practices. Strong experience with various accounting software, including Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, and PeopleSoft. Excellent analytical skills with keen attention to detail. Ability to mentor and guide junior team members effectively. Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently. Knowledge of financial services and the ability to apply this knowledge in a practical context. Exceptional communication skills for liaising with stakeholders at all levels.
