PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
Ensure that the cleaning services is run within its contractual obligations and is performing to the required levels of quality and service at all times. Check that all work is carried out in full compliance with all Health, Safety & Environmental regulations. Lead the teams to efficiently deliver Cleaning & Waste services, whilst driving a culture of continuous improvement and thereby ensuring that the client is receiving the best value for money for our contracted services. To foster a true partnership philosophy with both the client and team members.
Main Duties
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
-Responsible for all day-to-day aspects relating to the Cleaning of Internal mall areas, service washrooms, car parks, all external areas including waste/recycling Service yards as per the contract specification
-The output of the cleaning service delivery has to achieve high standards that are reflected in the clients KPI's. matrix. Monitoring of service standards are to be demonstrated through high scoring in quality auditing as well as through guest feedback and the process of Merlin/W+ and any other Mitie working functions
-In order to achieve high level of standards you need to ensure that all equipment are in good working order and fully maintained
-Working closely with the Elevate brand, providing a one minded approach with your colleagues. Mitie/Landsec/Nurture and CBRE
-Act as a role model for people management. Ensuring processes are followed to clarify objectives, actively manage performance and develop skills. Ensures areas of responsibilities are clearly defined and follow Company processes.
-Ensure the team present to a high standard at all times and adhere to the grooming guide as defined in the operations manual
-Develop effective relationships with client ensuring their satisfaction with service delivery and meet regularly with your Head of Soft Services Manager. To assist in the development of business initiatives including contract renewal strategy, contract management plan and customer improvement plan.
-Lead excellent communication throughout the contract and champion the motivation for all staff. Be prepared to undertake any such duties, which may be necessary to ensure the successful operation of the contract and the good name of the Company.
-Review rota's and floor plans to ensure that we have appropriate teams in against footfall trends.
-To recruit, induct, develop, manage, mentor and retain staff to deliver services in the most efficient and effective manner. Provides leadership and demonstrates role model behaviours in leading and motivating your team.
-To set objectives for direct reports and review regularly. Ensure same approach and mechanisms for all staff across the contract. Ensures effective performance management is applied - developing staff with potential through deploying training matrices and completing on time appraisals, addressing poor performance issues to resolution through company policies and procedures.
-Provide efficient and effective delivery of Cleaning & Waste/service yard services by driving optimised productivity and labour deployment.
-Comply with all Company and Client policies and statutory regulations relating to Health & Safety, safe working practices hygiene, cleanliness, fire, and COSHH. This will include your awareness of any specific hazards in your work place.
-Follow client / company guidelines with regards to the identification and reporting of health and safety hazards
-Attend all training courses as required
-Fulfil reasonable tasks or requests from senior management.
-Work alongside the other Heads of Departments to provide a seamless service to the client.
-Monitor the flow of information to your direct reports to ensure they are fully aware of non-confidential plans
-Ensure that the services we provide via Soft Services or contractors are to the highest standards and within legal legislation
-Establishing, maintaining & enforce all Quality, Health, Safety & Environmental controls required in the delivery of the contract in line with the statutory requirements and also the client's and Soft Services accreditations such as ISO:9001, ISO:14001 & OHSAS:18001
-All assets are maintained to and above the required current and future standard acceptable to the Client
-Deliver fully compliant audits in line with both the client and Soft Services accreditations
-Maintain confidentiality in all aspects of client and staff information
-Drive continuous improvement activities across all disciplines and aspects of the business
-Complete weekly site tours with your colleagues to ensure the site standards are maintained and improved
-Ensure there is a member of the Soft Services management team on site during business hour and on call during their duty manager shift
-Liaise with Brand Partners as and when required or requested
-Provide reports to the client and there 3rd parties when required
-Ensure that there is continuity in the service during colleague absence for any reason
-Ensure Soft Services are compliant with the GDPR legislation
-Ensure all audits are completed in full and on time ensuring the site is compliant

-To report immediately all accidents involving injuries and illness verbally to your immediate superior and a First Aider and make or have made on your behalf, an entry in the Company's Accident Book.
-Never to interfere with or misuse anything provided in the interest of health, safety or welfare.
-Never to use any machinery, work equipment, dangerous substance, transport equipment, system of work or safety device unless you have been authorised to do so and then only in accordance with any training received by you and any instructions provided to you.
-Never to perform work you are not qualified to do or have not been properly trained for.
-To inform the Company immediately of any work situation which you reasonably consider represents a serious and immediate danger to health & safety or represents a shortcoming in the Company's arrangements for health & safety.
-To report to the Company any medical condition you have and any medication or substance you are taking which could affect the safety of yourself or others.
-To seek medical treatment for all injuries you sustain (no matter how slight they may appear)
-If required to complete and submit or have completed and submitted on your behalf, An Accident Report Form.
-If required, to co-operate fully and promptly with any accident investigation carried out by the Company.
-Complete all activities as requested in line with the company OHSAS:18001, ISO:14001 & ISO:9001 accreditations
