Our client is a Shipping company based in Basildon. They are looking for an experienced Accounts professional to join a small accounts team.
This role is an excellent opportunity as it will have lots of progression opportunities as the business grows in the near future.

Duties:
1. Provide cover for AP staff
2. Posting overhead expenses on Sage
3. Credit control
4. Processing payments
5. Dealing with customer/supplier queries
6. Duty and VAT account reconciliations
7. Balance sheet reconciliations
8. Assist with monthly management accounts
9. Assist with annual statutory accounts and audit
10. Liaise with Operations team to check for customer payments / release jobs on hold
11. Liaise with Sales team to set up new sales accounts on internal systems
12. Keep internal systems up to date
13. Review customer credit applications
14. Complete credit applications (purchase)
15. Office H&S and keeping relevant documentation up to date (fire safety/desktop assessments etc.)
16. Assist with annual insurance renewal
17. Assist with onboarding of new starters
