The HR Business Partner will work strategically at Group head office level, developing and promoting best practice in areas such as employee engagement, equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) and health, wellbeing and benefits.
You will work as part of a small head office team to set a clear strategy and framework to be implemented by our autonomous business units through their local people teams.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Leading on our framework for Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI), including bringing together employee networks and running events.
* Help to maintain the Group People Framework, providing the basis on which our autonomous businesses ensure a consistent level of experience to all employees.
* Manage annual employee survey, analyse the results and create action plans for improvement.
* Continuing to assess our benefits offering and approach to wellbeing to ensure that we are providing a range of initiatives that have a positive impact on the health of our employees. Work with colleagues in payroll to ensure that initiatives are rolled out and utilised effectively.
* Help us to use analytics to drive change, and to report externally.
* Understand our values and culture and incorporate them within everything you do.
* Work with colleagues to ensure EDI and health, wellbeing and benefits are integrated into recruitment practices.
* Work with colleagues in the legal team to communicate company policy and the basics of employment law.
* Work with colleagues in IT to ensure we have effective HR systems that meet the needs of the business.
* Work with our legal team on pre-employment documents and policies.
* Develop guidelines for onboarding, and implement a Group-level induction for new starters.
Skills, knowledge and applicant requirements:
* CIPD qualification preferred or equivalent
* Confident in developing new ideas and enthusiastic about driving change
* Applying a good foundation knowledge of HR policy and best practice pragmatically to support a positive culture.
* Ability to work independently, and to collaborate with others.
* Responsive and helpful when providing advice and support to multiple stakeholders.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Analytical skills.
* Ability to deal with confidential matters with discretion.
* Comfortable being office based at least 3 days per week.
