A General Manager is required for a business specialising in passive optical network components and solutions, with locations in the UK, France, China, and Romania. The company focuses on sectors including core networks, fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) deployment,FTTA, data centres, and industrial applications.
The business has a strong and mature management team in place already, the General Managers role will be to guide and lead this team alongside directly growing sales in the UK market particularly within the installer, OEM and small distributor sectors
Key Responsibilities:
Lead sales initiatives across the UK market of core passive fibre core products from across the group and including new additional product ranges in the EV, Renewables and Security sectors
Build greater knowledge, awareness and perception of FOLAN brand within UK
Drive business growth within the FTTH,FTTA, data centres, core networks, and industrial sectors with focus on increasing run rate / daily sales revenue
Lead Folan Technologies business with full P&L responsibility
Manage all functions within business ( less Export Sales ) and promote /foster a culture built on trust, respect and performance
Ideal Candidate:
Experience in fibre (or power product ) distribution type sales in Telcom space with strong industry knowledge and contacts.
Demonstrable success of growing sales in UK market
High level customer relationship skills
Business leadership experience and hunger to learn / develop
P&L ownership and responsibility
Entrepreneurial spirit and approach Salary and Benefits:
£75,000 - £80,000 base salary.
Uncapped commission structure.
