Join us as a Cash Strategy Manager
* This is an influential role which will give you the chance to make a valuable contribution to our business.
* You'll play a leading role in developing our bank-wide Cash strategy, working in partnership with our retail, commercial and payments teams, and enjoying significant exposure to our executive and senior management teams.
* You'll be supporting all aspects of the function’s activities, with a focus on the strategic analysis of business plans, projects, opportunities and associated problem solving.
* You'll be in a strong position to progress within the bank due to the breadth of knowledge gained in such a strategic role.
* You'll work from home some of the time, but you'll also spend at least one day a week working from the office.
* We're offering this role for a period of up to 10 months, ending on 31/12/2025.
What you'll do
As a Cash Strategy Manager, you’ll be helping to successfully manage the function’s strategy and deliver its product backlog, producing customer value in a continuous, iterative fashion. You’ll be identifying opportunities to improve the strategy’s development in line with the external market and evolving customer needs, as well as assisting with developing business plans and offering challenge to improve the quality of outputs.
Your role will also involve:
* Leading effective interaction with the team, functions and stakeholders, and engaging fully in project tasks while understanding the issues in real depth.
* Analysing business performance, competitor activity, potential business opportunities and customer behaviours, and presenting these insights and solutions to senior management.
* Leading and delivering specific major assignments in the team’s backlog, defining and agreeing a clear scope and objectives.
* Providing high quality executive briefings and external perspectives, including current and emerging industry trends that may impact our approach and plans.
* Preparing analysis and reports for executive and board audiences.
* Driving a strong aptitude for strategic thinking across the function.
The skills you'll need
We’re looking for a thought leader with in-depth experience of banking strategy and decision support to join us in this role. You’ll have a background in business planning, developing strategic recommendations and influencing strategic change, along with strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills. You'll be a strategic thinker and able to articulate clear narratives and complex problems succinctly.
You’ll also demonstrate:
* A strong track record of effective strategy development and delivery.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly.
* The ability to work with a range of senior stakeholders and to influence and challenge constructively.
* Experience of working across a large diverse organisation, effectively establishing partnerships across various parts of the business.
* Good research skills and a proven ability to generate insights.
* Experience of working with significant amounts of data, data modelling, financial analysis or commercial business case development.
* Focus on the customer in strategic development and delivery.
How we'll reward you
Salary: £54,400 - £81,600 per year (pro rata for hours worked).
You’ll join on a competitive salary between £54,400 - £81,600 dependent on experience and location, and in addition you’ll receive a contribution to help you save for retirement.
