Our client is seeking a dedicated Trade Support Associate to join their dynamic team, supporting the EMEA Offices in various reconciliation tasks. Key Responsibilities:
1. Reconcile the Bank's general ledger with various sub-ledger systems daily, investigating any discrepancies across all EMEA Offices.
2. Ensure all Wash accounts for EMEA Offices are reconciled to nil on a daily basis and escalate any breaks for timely clearance.
3. Monitor and investigate differences in the EMEA Offices' bank and customer Contingent Liabilities daily.
4. Reconcile the Bank's Nostro accounts for EMEA Offices, ensuring detailed information is received for unmatched items, and update the reconciliation database/tool accordingly.
5. Collaborate with OAD Sections across EMEA to ensure unmatched Nostro items are cleared promptly.
6. Reconcile Interest and Charges across all EMEA Nostro accounts and secure clearance of exceptions (breaks) identified during the reconciliation process.
7. Process interest claims on investigations, ensuring any delayed payments or value corrections are handled at minimal cost to the Bank or Customer.
8. Support team members in completing all allocated work with high standards and controls maintained.
9. Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and build testing of Section applications.
10. Reconcile EMEA cash accounts with correspondent banks daily, ensuring accurate booking and identifying discrepancies for immediate follow-up.
11. Reconcile the five sub-ledgers to the General Ledger (GL) to substantiate GL balances fully.
12. Assist in maintaining and reviewing desktop procedures related to daily processes, ensuring updates comply with bank policy.
13. Actively participate in UAT for new system upgrades and developments, promptly escalating any issues and following through to resolution.
14. Adhere to compliance procedures, completing tasks accurately and promptly while integrating learnings from compliance training into daily operations.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. A Level (Minimum)
2. Self-motivated, well-organised, energetic, flexible, and collaborative.
3. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, capable of engaging effectively at all levels.
4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
5. A keen awareness of risk and compliance issues.
6. Experience with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and system development.
