Equifind are representing a SaaS firm based in London Bridge, who are looking to hire an Accounts Assistant. The firm boasts a leading position in the technology sector globally. After a run of record-breaking years, the organisation is now looking to grow both by number of employees and AUM in 2025, making it a very exciting time to join the business. The position can start immediately so the right candidate will either be immediately available to start and interview or on a very short notice period. You will be supporting and assisting the team with accounts payable from start to finish through and through. Other accounting tasks will be introduced later on down the line which will allow you to gain more exposure to various roles and further develop your understanding of finance as a whole. The Role: The key responsibilities for the Accounts Assistant for the SaaS firm based in London Bridge will be: Monitor and organise the accounts payable inbox. Process invoices received and their entry into the general ledger for processing. Review and code invoices before sending to appropriate team members for approval. Preparing and processing weekly payment runs. Perform supplier reconciliations between supplier statements and the general ledger, including more complex utility reconciliations. Prepare the quarterly purchase ledger report with comments on current status, ready for review/discussion. Liaise with suppliers to maintain relationships and to request refunds, statements and missing invoices. Process reports to review disputed items and follow up and chase authorisers/suppliers to resolve these. Process reports to flag invoices that are still awaiting approval after 3-months and chase authorisers/suppliers to resolve these. Process other ad-hoc reports as required. Prepare quarterly purchase ledger write-off report for CFO to approve. Assist with other ad-hoc accounts analysis and support as required. Application Criteria: 1-2 years’ experience in an Finance role. Ideally studying AAT or working towards an accounting qualification. Excellent excel and analytical skills. Organised and efficient. Excellent communicator. Team player. Able to work in a fast-paced team environment and can hit the ground running, with a track record of rolling sleeves up to get the work down while looking for improvements longer term. Ambition to pursue the ACCA or CIMA accounting qualification in the future.
