Job Description:
The Department of Computer Science at Loughborough University is seeking to appoint a Research Associate (SSA Grade 6) or Research Assistant (SSA Grade 5) to work on an Innovate UK funded project on the Internet of Digital Twin Things (IoDT2). The IoDT2 project aims to research and develop a novel digital twin framework that facilitates the easy sharing of models and data across networks, allowing computation resources to dynamically execute simulations.
The successful candidate will collaborate with Dr. Posco Tso, his team, and industry partners to develop this novel distributed digital twin framework. Candidates should possess skills in distributed artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), and digital twin technologies, along with strong knowledge in computer networking. Experience in publishing in competitive venues is also required. The position is currently funded for 23 months for Research Associate or 24 months for Research Assistant, with the possibility of extending up to 14 months.
The Research Associate will be based in the internationally renowned Department of Computer Science at Loughborough University, UK.
