This Site Technical Manager role will see you working with Retail and Foodservice customers and leading a large site for one of the UK's largest chilled food groups.

Responsibilities:
1. Quality Control: Implementing and maintaining quality control processes to ensure consistency and excellence in the production of food products.
2. Compliance: Ensuring compliance with food safety regulations, industry standards, and certifications such as HACCP, BRC, and ISO.
3. Team Management: Leading a team of technical professionals, including quality assurance managers, food technologists, and lab technicians.
4. Product Development: Collaborating with the product development team to introduce new products or improve existing ones while ensuring technical feasibility and quality standards.
5. Supplier Management: Overseeing relationships with suppliers to maintain quality raw materials and ingredients for production.
6. Audits and Inspections: Coordinating and managing internal and external audits, inspections, and certifications to uphold quality and safety standards.
7. Continuous Improvement: Identifying opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, and efficiency enhancement within the technical department.
8. Crisis Management: Developing and implementing contingency plans for food safety incidents or product recalls.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field.
2. Extensive experience in a technical role within the food manufacturing industry, with a proven track record of quality management.
3. Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, quality standards, and industry best practices.
4. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
5. Certification in food safety (e.g., HACCP, BRC) is highly desirable.
