Kepak St. Merryn in Merthyr Tydfil has combined beef and lamb processing and packing facilities. We offer beef and lamb products ranging from retail ready cuts for butchers’ counters to branded packaged meat, all as part of our service; raised on open pastures, sourced from local farmers and hand-selected by our master butchers, we produce beef and lamb products with integrity and unmatched quality assurance.
We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Accountant to work in our busy Finance Department at Kepak Merthyr Tydfil. This is for a 12 month fixed term contract working 8.30am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday.
Requirements
Job Purpose:
To provide administration and accounts support in the weekly reporting team. You will be giving accurate and timely finance information to complete weekly P&L to aid business decisions.
Key Accountabilities:
* Producing weekly and monthly production reports for site
* Weekly staff reports, reconciliation and reporting
* Processing and managing high volumes of data and using excel skills to gather date and information
* Identify and address discrepancies where appropriate
* Preparing and posting weekly inter-site journals
* To assist Finance Business Partner in other ad hoc duties
* Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and procedures
* Ensure accuracy of reporting data
Skills and Experience:
* Studying towards ACA/CIMA/ACCA
* Previous experience within a similar role
* Good understanding of Excel
* High level of accuracy
* Ability to prioritise
