We are seeking a compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to support students with special educational needs (SEN).
The successful candidate will collaborate with teachers and staff to create an inclusive learning environment where students are empowered to thrive.
Students you will support may have:
- EHCPs (Education, Health and Care Plans).
- Diagnoses such as Autism, ADHD, or Moderate to Severe Learning Difficulties.
- Additional needs, including sensory impairments, communication challenges, or physical disabilities.
- Provide personalised one-to-one and small group support to students with SEN.
- Assist teachers in managing behaviour and promoting a positive classroom atmosphere.
- Support students with personal care and mobility when required.
- Encourage a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment.
- Monitor and record students' progress, providing feedback to teaching staff.
- Participate actively in staff meetings and professional development.
- Proven experience working with children or adults with special educational needs.
- Familiarity with a range of SEN conditions (e.g., autism, ADHD, dyslexia) and strategies to support these needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for working with children.
- A collaborative mindset to work effectively as part of a team.
- All applicants must hold the necessary qualifications and training for this role.
- Quoted pay rates include 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
- This role is initially temporary, with the possibility of becoming permanent at a later stage.
