Occasional weekends mainly On Call, would be paid an enhanced rate
Includes a 30-minute unpaid rest break
Our client needs a skilled Contracts Supervisor to ensure operational activities are undertaken to the contract specification. You will seek to deliver peak performance in terms of quality, quantity of work and health & safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Undertake the daily operational supervision of the cleaning staff.
2. Staff timekeeping and attendance.
3. Arrangement of absence and annual leave cover.
4. Arrange work schedules.
5. Deal with, and action, all day-to-day telephone calls, enquiries, messages and complaints.
6. Monitor cleaning duties.
7. Carry out quality audits and monitor performance.
8. Performance management and annual appraisals.
9. Assist and report any disciplinary and grievance matters to the Business Manager.
10. Organise refresher and new starter training sessions, with internal training records monitored and maintained.
11. Regular team briefings with all staff.
12. Take part in the recruitment and selection process for new staff.
13. Adhere to health & safety regulations and the company health & safety policies.
General Cleaning Contract Supervision:
1. Planned, general inspections and the creation and analysis of contract performance reports, taking corrective action where necessary.
2. Maintenance of stock requirements and monitor stock usage and the coordination of stores deliveries and collections.
3. Liaise with Head Office regarding any incident, accident or unusual occurrence.
4. Provision of quotations for additional or specific works, as requested.
5. Ensure the accurate completion of all contract administration.
6. Undertake daily checks of all work areas, identifying areas where standards are not met, give feedback to individuals and revisit once the task has been notified as completed.
Key Requirements:
1. Full, clean UK driving licence.
2. Minimum of 3 years' experience within a cleaning role.
3. Minimum of 2 years' supervisory experience or relevant proven skills.
4. IT skills to include a sound knowledge of MS Word, Outlook and Excel.
5. Ability to create comprehensive written reports.
6. Good standard of English language skills, arithmetic, and general administration.
7. Must be able to work well with the existing and future company staff, contractors and clients and have a proactive approach to the role and its responsibilities.
8. Strong communication and presentation skills.
9. Ability to provide support and advice, with the capability to deliver both induction and H&S training are essential.
10. The ability to influence others whilst gaining their confidence and respect.
11. Strong interpersonal skills and relationship management.
