We are delighted to invite applications for a Senior Pharmacist in Adult Critical Care post. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated clinical pharmacist to work within a high-profile, rewarding clinical specialty to develop their portfolio of specialist knowledge and skills.
The successful post holder will join our established and well-respected team of specialist critical care pharmacists, technicians, and medicines management assistants. You will work directly with the wider MDT to deliver safe and effective evidence-based treatment to some of the sickest patients within the Trust.
The role will involve working clinically with support from specialist critical care pharmacists to gain experience across all adult level 3 and level 2 areas, including cardiac critical care and high dependency unit.
There will be opportunities for proactive individuals to be involved in project and audit work to develop your own skills while enhancing patient care and medicines safety.
As a senior member of the pharmacist team, you will help support and mentor junior members of the team. You will also participate in the teaching of undergraduate pharmacists and the wider critical care multi-disciplinary team.
If you don’t already possess an independent prescribing qualification, opportunities will arise to apply for this course, which you will be fully supported through. There may also be opportunities to undertake specialist critical care training courses.

The post holder will be based at both the Queen's Medical Centre Campus (QMC) and Nottingham City Hospital Campus (NCH) but will not routinely be required to travel between sites during the working day.
You will be required to participate in departmental weekend and bank holiday working arrangements and support the on-call pharmacists through the senior pharmacist back-up rota.
