The company is looking to identify a Head of Quality to lead all aspects of the quality function across multiple sites, including responsibility for sites in Asia. (Please note, travel to sites outside the UK will only be expected infrequently, approximately once every 2 years).
This pivotal role is responsible for ensuring that all products, processes, and services meet the highest internal and external standards. You will be at the forefront of their commitment to quality, championing Zero-Defect initiatives and driving continuous improvement across the business.

Key Responsibilities
* Lead and enhance the Business Quality Management System to meet all regulatory and customer requirements.
* Drive the deployment of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Defect Prevention Tools across the business.
* Oversee the planning, preparation, and execution of 3rd Party Audits (e.g., AS9100, NADCAP).
* Manage Internal Audit and Compliance Monitoring programs.
* Serve as the primary Quality lead and interface for all customer-related Quality matters.
* Establish and embed Supplier Quality targets, ensuring continuous improvement in Supplier performance and reducing the cost of non-conformance.
Candidate Requirements
* Previous Quality Management experience.
* Proven track record of delivering results within a precision engineering company that supplies into the Aerospace industry.
* Sound knowledge of AS9100 standards.
* Appreciation or basic knowledge of NADCAP would be beneficial.
* Practical understanding of APQP and associated tools & techniques used.
* Auditor trained - AS9100.
* In-depth understanding of quality standards and knowledge of Quality Management Systems with the ability to maintain and improve.
* Ability to provide tangible examples of performing continuous improvement activities using problem-solving tools such as 8D reporting, Kaizen, Six Sigma, etc.
* Strong communicator with the confidence to liaise effectively with customers and suppliers, coupled with leading audits and customer site visits.
* Self-motivated with a sincere bias for action and results-driven.
* Willingness to be involved in the day-to-day quality team as well as having the foresight to delegate where necessary.
* Confident in challenging the "status quo".
