Job Requirements:
* High School Diploma
* Phlebotomy Certification from an accredited agency
* Perform Blood collections on all age groups
* Provide excellent customer service skills to our patients
* Proficient data entry experience
* Partner in Patient Care
* Excellent communication skills written and verbal
Responsibilities:
* Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens, biometric screening, and insurance exams.
* Administer oral solutions according to established training.
* Research test/client information and confirm and verify all written and electronic orders by utilizing lab technology systems.
* Complete all data entry requirements accurately, including patient registration and test orders.
* Enter billing information and collect payments when required.
* Data entry and processing specimens, including labeling, centrifuging, and splitting specimens as required.
* Perform departmental-related clerical duties such as inventory management and answering phones.
* Read, understand, and comply with departmental policies and procedures.
* Verify patient demographic information and signatures post-venipuncture.
* Assist with compilation and submission of monthly statistics and data.
* Maintain appropriate phlebotomy logs in a timely manner.
* Complete training courses and stay up-to-date with phlebotomy techniques.
* Travel to meetings as required.
* Participate in special projects and teams.
* Communicate professionally with clients to resolve or refer issues.
* Ensure staff follows all safety precautions.
* Assist supervisors with the implementation of SOPs for phlebotomy services.
* Ensure facilities are clean and in good repair.
* Act as a coach and mentor for new employees.
* Assist with inventory counts and report shortages.
* Assist with schedule preparation for the assigned workgroup.
Qualifications:
Required Work Experience:
* Three years phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
* Keyboard/data entry experience.
* Flexible and available based on staffing needs, including weekends and holidays.
* Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
* Travel and flexible hours required for multiple locations.
Preferred Work Experience:
* Minimum 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.
* Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred.
Physical and Mental Requirements:
* Lift light to moderately heavy objects.
* Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time.
* Must be able to perform repetitive tasks with dominant hand.
* Position requires travel.
* Extensive use of phone and PC.
Knowledge:

* The position requires the ability to effectively communicate in English.
Skills:
* Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

EDUCATION: High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS: Phlebotomy certification (required in certain states)
