We are currently recruiting for an Area Sales Manager to work with a manufacturer of automation products vital for pick and place both static units and Robots.
Working from home, you will be responsible for a patch which is essentially North Midlands to Northumberland. You will set your own call schedules and use the company CRM system to log activity and forward plans.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage and maximize sales within the assigned geographic territory
2. Act as a point of contact for existing and potential customers within the assigned territory
3. Identify local business opportunities and challenges
4. Develop and implement a territory business plan in support of company goals and objectives
5. Develop and manage sales channels for all products in support of territory goals and objectives
6. Conduct frequent customer visits either direct or jointly with channel partners
7. Document and manage sales activity including customer visits, opportunities, and account information through using Salesforce CRM
8. Conduct regular reviews with distributors and reps
9. Present products and services to prospective customers
Experience and Skills:
1. 3+ years’ experience in technical sales
2. Strong knowledge of automation within the food and other FMCG industries
3. Proven track record selling associated products such as drives, sensors, robots etc into automated manufacturing companies
4. Results-oriented
5. Excellent communication skills
6. Influencer persuades and convinces others
7. Creativity, challenges the norm and comes up with ideas
