Arable Farm Manager

The Job:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Arable Farm Manager to join a well-established farming business in Hampshire. This role involves the day-to-day management of a mixed farm, with responsibilities spanning budgeting, financial planning, capital and input purchasing, and grain trading.
In addition to traditional arable farm operations, the farm has also expanded into on-farm diversification projects, including Christmas tree growing. The role remains hands-on, with responsibilities including combine driving at harvest and drilling in the autumn.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Managing the day-to-day operations of the farm.
2. Overseeing budgeting, financial planning, capital & input purchasing, and grain trading.
3. Driving the combine at harvest and operating a drill in autumn.
4. Supporting on-farm diversification projects, including Christmas tree growing.
5. Ensuring high standards of health & safety.
6. Leading and working as part of a tight-knit team to ensure smooth farm operations.

The Candidate:
We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual with a strong background in arable farming and practical farm management.
Your CV should demonstrate:
1. Proven experience in a similar farm management role.
2. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
3. A strong commitment to health & safety.
4. Attention to detail and pride in high-quality farm operations.
5. Excellent communication skills and ability to work under pressure.
6. Some livestock experience would be an advantage but is not essential.
