Teaching Personnel is offering a number of flexible teaching assistant roles that allow you to tailor work into your schedule while assisting at multiple locations. We support children at primary and secondary levels, so there is a wide range of ages to support.
We're looking for someone who is confident in de-escalating challenging behaviour and possesses strong behaviour management skills, able to work in different provisions, and is highly reliable. Most importantly, this role requires you to be empathetic and patient as this is what these children need.
About the role:
1. To start immediately in January.
2. Small class sizes of 8-10, which creates strong relationships with the students.
3. Teaching Assistant role is sometimes 1:1 with the students. The classroom is well supported with other TAs and a Teacher for support and guidance.
4. No prior teaching qualifications/experience needed.
5. Monday-Friday (08:30-3:30). Work fits into your life, creating a healthy work/life balance.
6. Roles are all over Bristol, supporting primary and secondary schools with children with special education needs and/or emotional and social needs.
What you need:
1. To have/get a child-only DBS on the update service and to have 24 months’ worth of references.
2. Prior experience working with children with SEND needs (not essential but desired).
3. To be adaptable and resilient in challenging environments.
4. To have a friendly and playful side to yourself.
5. Demonstrate the willingness to learn and to be flexible in supporting the school's needs.
