Senior Technical Lead - Architecture Lead Programme Lifecycle, Enterprise Architecture, DevOps, Agile Delivery, GDS/CDDO Standards, Technical Design Authority, Open Data, Open Banking, Regulatory Programmes, APIs, Cloud Platforms, Quality Assurance Methodologies, CI/CD, Git, OAuth2.0 Hybrid with 1-2 days per week in Bedfordshire office £700-£800 per day via an Umbrella Company (the role is inside IR35) 6 months initial contract Our governmental sector client is on the lookout for a Senior Technical Lead to oversee multiple workstreams and ensure the delivery of a high-quality technology service. This role is pivotal in shaping the end-to-end architecture and ensuring adherence to Technology Standards, coordinating with technology teams across the programme. Day to Day of the role: Provide technical leadership throughout the programme lifecycle, from enterprise architecture to technology delivery and post-launch support. Align product development with programme objectives and broader technical strategies. Develop quality technical solutions with appropriate testing approaches, in collaboration with the Test Manager. Work with colleagues to ensure a resilient, secure, and flexible technology architecture. Ensure compliance with GDS/CDDO standards and best practices in product development and support. Allocate skilled technical resources, manage performance, and contribute to the programme's Technical Design Authority. Lead integration with third-party products and provide ongoing technical direction as the service expands. Demonstrate practical technical and business experience in working across organisational boundaries with suppliers and stakeholders. Required Skills & Qualifications: Technical expertise in large-scale open data/banking/regulatory programmes, APIs, interfaces, messaging, and cloud platforms, preferably in Financial Services and Government. Proven leadership of multi-skilled technical teams in an Agile delivery environment. Strong understanding of technology and coding standards, quality assurance methodologies, and Agile practices. Proficiency with development tools/methods such as Git, CI/CD, and code quality analysis. Expertise in API design, authentication, and authorisation standards, including OpenAPI, OAuth2.0, and JSON schema. Experience with identity proofing and authentication standards, service design across organisational boundaries, and cloud-based deliveries. Ability to communicate complex technical information effectively to diverse audiences. In-depth understanding of the challenges in inter-organisation integration programmes.
