Job Description
Be the Authorising Engineer for UBS Account.
Be the go-to technical authority for internal and external persons.
Key Responsibilities
1. Maintain and manage PPM lifecycle.
2. Support and advise Engineering Manager in the control of PPM activities.
3. Responsible for High / Low Voltage Compliance, ensuring all electrical testing is complete, including all Fixed Electrical Testing. Evaluate all Electrical reports. Provide regular updates to UBS in support of all planned and completed Electrical testing.
4. Support and advise Engineering Manager in the management of remedial and project works.
5. Quantify corrective actions.
6. Validate Quotes.
7. Review Method Statements.
8. Provide support to FM through the duration of works.
9. Manage and implement the ISS Safe System of Works (Electrical).
10. Authorising Engineer for Electrical.
11. Training and assessment of Authorised Persons, Competent Persons and Site Responsible Persons.
12. Support FMs in management of SSoW and RAMS.
13. Lead and motivate the engineering team to improve performance on customer service, communication, networking, common engineering standards, quality, safety and environmental issues to ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory / corporate requirements and that documented procedures exist and are understood by all employees.
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
Qualifications:
Recognised qualification in an appropriate engineering subject.
Appointed Authorising Engineer or Authorised Person for M&E disciplines.
Member of an appropriate technical institution (IET, CIBSE) – desirable.
Experience:
Knowledge of critical building services/utilities, energy utilisation and procurement and business planning,
5 – 10 years’ experience of managing a multi-disciplinary critical service to a complex facility incorporating maintenance and engineering.
Demonstrates experience of coordinating and managing Technical Services and good awareness of fit-out and H & S issues.
Ability to explore a situation, assess pros and cons of different options and formulate a plan to meet objectives.
Able to think on their feet and change their approach as required.
Experience of formulating, implementing and managing change management programmes.
