Little Trees Childminding is a unique home-based garden setting in Branston, where children aged 4-11 have the opportunity to engage in nature study, enjoy child-led play and importantly, are given the time and space for unstructured play in the outdoors. After school is a critical time for children to deepen their own learning and build self-confidence, as well as find space to decompress at the end of the school day in a safe and supportive environment. We are muddy and messy and have a lot of fun! We have an eco-building that we call The Clubhouse as our indoor creative space, and a heated log cabin.

The assistant understands the importance of outdoor play whatever the weather and is skilful in supporting children with their unique needs. The assistant will be required to help to plan activities, serve snacks, undertake light cleaning duties and other day-to-day tasks as they arise.
It would be advantageous to have skills in crafts, gardening, outdoor learning or forest school. A qualification, or working towards a qualification, in education and childcare is preferred but not essential. The ideal candidate will have experience of children with SEND, but training can be arranged. Safeguarding L1, Paediatric First Aid and DBS are all required, but can also be arranged.
