Job Title: Legal Assistant (Employment Law)

Overview: We working with a national Legal 500 ranked firm who are looking for a proactive and highly organised Legal Assistant to join their team in the Employment Law department. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work alongside experienced fee earners, providing essential support and ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day operations. Key Responsibilities:
* Organise and prioritise workload in conjunction with fee earners on an ongoing basis.
* Maintain fee earner diaries and manage day-to-day commitments.
* Schedule telephone conference calls, video conferences, and book meeting rooms as required.
* Prepare incoming and outgoing post, ensuring timely delivery and receipt.
* Perform copy and audio typing to assist with case documentation.
* Keep fee earners informed of any changes in workload, priorities, or circumstances.
* Liaise with clients and take instructions under the supervision and direction of fee earners.
* Assist with the preparation and completion of monthly bills.
* Use precedents to draft and prepare documents as directed by fee earners.
* Prepare forms and reports as required under fee earners' guidance.
* Screen, prioritize, and respond to calls, including voicemail messages, for fee earners.
* Maintain a professional telephone manner and transcribe voicemail messages as necessary.
* Provide support in fee earners' absence by returning calls and emails to deal with inquiries when appropriate.
* Ensure fast, accurate, and efficient typing of materials for fee earners.
* Create and maintain client-related information and manage client matters.
* Input and submit time recording accurately and in a timely manner.
* Open files promptly, ensuring that all relevant money laundering documentation is completed in compliance with the Solicitors Accounts Rules.
Key Attributes:
* Previous experience in Employment Law is preferable but not essential.
* Prior experience in a legal environment is desirable.
* Highly organized, adaptable, and flexible with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a professional telephone manner.
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
* Strong IT skills, particularly with Microsoft Office packages.
