Self-Employed Therapist (Children & Adolescents) – Term Time Only
Are you passionate about supporting children and young people on their therapeutic journey? Have you walked your own healing path and now wish to help others do the same? If so, we’d love to hear from you!
This self-employed role is ideal for those with a background in Children & Young People’s services and training in therapy, counselling, or therapy-based interventions. We value experience over qualifications and welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds who can offer therapeutic support in creative and meaningful ways.
About Us
We are a Paignton-based therapy service, specialising in therapeutic interventions for children, adolescents, and families facing challenges related to mental health, SEND needs, neurodiversity, and emotional-based school avoidance.
We offer a range of bespoke services, including:
* One-to-one therapy sessions for children (5-12 years) and adolescents (13-25 years)
* Parent support sessions
* Family support sessions
As our approach is tailored to each family’s unique needs, we are looking for someone adaptable, creative, and open-minded to meet the ever-growing demand for our services.
We are also expanding into a CIC, where you will have opportunities to develop your skills in outdoor therapeutic interventions, group sessions for parents and families, and outdoor sessions for children and adolescents.
Who We’re Looking For
If you have skills that would complement our team, we are particularly interested in individuals who can offer one or more of the following:
Play-based therapy (5-12 years) in our dedicated sensory playroom
Adolescent therapy (13-25 years) in our main therapy room (counselling, psychotherapy, or creative therapies)
Family therapy sessions
Parent/carer support and collaborating with our team to expand our services in Torbay
Outreach therapy support (5-16 years) – offering sessions in the client’s home when they are unable to access our therapy rooms
Outdoor-based therapeutic interventions
We work in person at our therapy rooms in Paignton, online via Zoom, and are also beginning to offer services at Parkfield in Paignton.
