We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Hackney to assist with the appointment of an Assistant Director - Data, Digital and Customer Services, on a 6.5-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Rate of Pay: £464.91 - £599.00 per Day Summary: The Assistant Director will be the strategic leader for customer services, digital product delivery, and data insight, ensuring high-quality customer experiences for Hackneys residents. This role involves managing a large team, overseeing digital transformation, and leading data-driven decision-making to improve service efficiency and effectiveness. Responsibilities: Champion customer focus and strategic change to enhance service delivery. Oversee all aspects of 24/7 customer service operations, ensuring high-quality support for residents and businesses. Provide strategic leadership in digital product development and service delivery, ensuring alignment with cloud-based solutions. Lead data and insight initiatives to maximize the value of data assets and inform future service strategies. Manage the Registrars service to ensure compliance with statutory requirements and quality service delivery. Drive the Councils digital transformation by leveraging technology, user insight, and service design. Qualifications: Ideally educated to bachelors degree level and/or holds a relevant professional qualification. Significant experience in digital service transformation, customer service leadership, or data management. Strong background in managing multidisciplinary teams and stakeholder relationships. Expertise in governance, compliance, and risk management within public sector services. Experience: Extensive leadership experience in customer services, digital product management, and data insights. Proven track record in strategic planning and implementation within a public sector environment. Experience in budget planning and financial accountability.
