ROLE PURPOSE
The Finance Business Partner (FBP) is a member of the Finance team. Working closely with the Head of Finance, the FBP takes part in the daily operations of the finance function to ensure financial compliance and to support management and the organisation by providing financial analysis and insights.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Main responsibilities
1. Take part in day to day running of the Finance function including purchase ledger, sales ledger, banking, payroll, pension administration and statutory returns.
2. Assist in preparation of monthly financial reports.
3. Provide financial analysis and insights.
4. Develop, implement and document financial policies and workflows.
5. Drive operational efficiency within the Finance function where necessary.
6. Develop, improve and monitor Financial KPIs and dashboards.
7. Liaise with external auditors, bank manager, tax advisor and investment manager.
8. Work with other functions as required.
9. Assist with budgeting and forecasting.
10. Lead and manage projects as required.
Communication and information
1. Report to and meet with line manager at least twice a month.
2. Attend other meetings as required.
3. Communicate effectively with team members and other teams within the CCDC.
4. Participate in and encourage the activities of CCDC in support of the organisation's charitable aims.
5. Promote the organisation and its charitable aims within the community.
Policies and Procedures
1. Comply with all relevant policies and procedures.
2. Complete all documents required by the organisation policies and procedures.
Other
1. Undertake additional tasks and responsibilities as may be reasonably expected of the role and as necessary to achieve the objectives of the CCDC.
