A fantastic school we support is seeking to appoint a dedicated, passionate and empathetic learning support assistant to join their close-knit team. Our school provides high-quality, individualised and small group learning for pupils aged 7-16. Our school supports learners who have barriers to learning, including SEMH, autism, ADHD and Asperger's.

About the role:
* Supporting the classroom teacher in managing the class and supporting students in focusing and engaging in their learning
* You may be asked to work across their other sites and outreach centres
* Get the classroom ready for lessons
* Supervise group activities or work with students on a 1:1 basis, depending on need
* Provide a healthy and safe learning environment for children
* Build meaningful and long-lasting relationships to help students excel both academically, socially and emotionally
Requirements:
* Experience working with children with special educational needs
* Strong knowledge and understanding of strategies to support young people with both their studies and wellbeing
* Understanding of additional needs including autism, ADHD and aspergers
* Strong communication skills
* Ability to work well as part of a team
* Must be able to drive, have access to your own vehicle (must have been driving for at least 2 years)
