Come and join the team In your position as Rail Maintenance Fitter, you will play a key role in maintaining and repairing a wide range of Rail equipment (both in the workshop and track-side) including compactors, jacks, OLE equipment, chain saws, rail generators, track trolleys, TSR equipment, sleeper beams, stressing equipment, track-side lighting, remote control triple wackers, Vortok safety barriers, battery rail drills, wrenches, and much more. To succeed as a Rail Maintenance Fitter you will bring the following skill-set and behaviours: Prior experience in a Maintenance Fitter role, preferably within the rail industry's A strong commitment to Health and Safety and ideally with PTS Certification Able to work as part of a team, supporting colleagues Flexible and self-motivated, you’ll be keen to embrace new training opportunities, which may on occasion require staying away from home Great communication skills – both verbal and written Customer-Focused with a commitment to delivering an excellent service Effective planning and organisation skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy The role involves extensive out-of-hours working, which may include mid-week nights, weekends and bank holidays.
