Reed Business Support is recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established and growing company based in Ashford, for a Permanent Import & Export Clerk. This is a fantastic opportunity for a detail-oriented professional to join a dynamic team and contribute to the smooth handling of international shipments.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Managing import and export documentation, ensuring compliance with customs regulations.
2. Coordinating shipments with freight forwarders and logistics providers.
3. Processing customs declarations and liaising with HMRC where necessary.
4. Tracking shipments and resolving any logistical issues that arise.
5. Maintaining accurate records of all import/export transactions.
6. Communicating with internal departments and external partners to ensure efficient operations.
Skills & Experience Required:
1. Previous experience in an import/export or logistics role.
2. Knowledge of customs procedures and documentation.
3. Strong organisational and administrative skills.
4. Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
6. A team player with strong communication skills.
