My client is a leading global investment management business looking to hire a Business Analyst to join a cross functional team, leading change initiatives and responsible for managing stakeholder relationships for a Fund Accounting Workstream.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong background in business and technical analysis, looking to influence the delivery of a major strategic programme.
The Business Analyst is expected to:
* Lead requirements gathering using methods such as interviews, workshops, workflow analysis, and documentation reviews.
* Collaborate with business stakeholders to define project scope and translate business needs into clear requirements.
* Partner closely with Project Managers, or operate in a hybrid BA/PM capacity, to report progress and maintain stakeholder alignment.
* Use tools such as SQL and Power Apps to analyse data and translate findings into actionable specifications for data engineers.
* Contribute to Agile delivery practices within cross-functional teams.
* Document and model current- and target-state data architecture and data flows, particularly around fund static data, ABOR, and trade data.
* Identify technical requirements and interface specs, and document them via the SDLC using tools like Azure DevOps.
* Support development and testing efforts, ensuring alignment with stakeholder expectations and technical feasibility.
The successful Business Analyst will possess:
* Strong SQL and data modelling skills is a must; experience Excel with Python is a bonus.
* Solid understanding of asset management is essential, particularly Fund Static, ABOR and trades data.
* Experience working with data warehouses (ideally Snowflake), and tools such as LucidCharts, MS Teams, Power Apps, and Azure DevOps.
* Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage across all levels.
* Familiarity with Agile delivery environments.
