Job Description
As an apprentice Pattern Maker within Williams Racing, you will be taught traditional bench fitting skills and techniques as well as up-to-date manufacturing machine processes. You will be exposed to the manufacturing of patterns and moulds for the composite department. You will gain knowledge of how to work with a variety of composite materials as well as being taught manual and CNC machining.
You’ll learn a wide range of pattern and mould making techniques whilst being set projects and phase tests in line with your NVQ requirements which will be assessed at regular intervals. You will be exposed to the manufacturing environment where you will gain hands-on experience in the manufacture of patterns to assist in the F1 car project alongside continuing with your studies.

* Pattern Making
* Bench Fitting
* Spraying
* Manual Centre Lathe Turning
* CNC Milling
* Interpret Engineering Drawings
* Manual inspection
* HSE, COSHH and Risk assessments along with other relevant in-house training.
Qualifications
We seek a confident, enthusiastic individual with a flexible attitude to work, as well as being a good team player with self-discipline for deadlines. A passion for engineering together with a willingness to learn is essential. Ideal candidates will have:
A minimum of 5 GCSEs in Maths, English, and Science (Grade 4/C or above) and A-Levels (or equivalent qualifications).
Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Strong teamwork skills and an eagerness to work collaboratively.
An ability to communicate effectively and professionally.
